Mr Matthias Garschagen

Matthias is an expert in future urban risk trends and adaptation governance, especially in Asia, Africa and Europe. His research interests are scenarios of future vulnerability and exposure trends in urbanizing regions as well as multicriteria assessments of different adaptation options. He was Coordinating Lead Author of the IPCC Special Report Ocean and Cryosphere and Lead Author of the Sixth IPCC Assessment Report (Working Group II). He is a Core Writing Author of the AR6.Synthesis Report.
