Knowledge for sustainable and resilient cities in times of climate change: Latest findings and persisting needs

This event will provide a scientific-based exchange on how to make cities more resilient. New findings on global and local risk and vulnerability assessment, their application and research gaps will be presented as well as the relationships between behavioral and environmental dimensions and nexus of technologies and policies discussed. This will be done from a global perspective by presenting key findings of the Sixth IPCC Assessment Report AR6 and the Summary for Urban Policy Makers that launches on COP27. But also, experiences and expertise will be shared and discussed across case studies and comprehensive projects on adaptation and reconstruction in Germany and sustainable development in urban regions in South-East Asia.
