Mrs Simson was appointed European Commissioner for Energy in 2019. She is a former Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure as well as a former Member of Parliament in Estonia. She started her career as an Advisor to the Mayor of Talinn and as Secretary General of the Estonian Centre Party.
