Financing the ramp-up of global hydrogen markets: The way forward and first experiences from early movers
Making green hydrogen affordable and globally available by 2030 requires an enormous increase in investment. Some governments are already taking initiative by deploying novel financing mechanisms, such as Carbon Contracts for Difference and the German government’s H2Global initiative. This side event will discuss the role public funds will have to play to de-risk investment and lever private funds, and the key actions needed by policy makers to develop the necessary financial structures.
