Accelerating the Energy Transition in Africa
To date, Africa has been trailing the world in the sustainable energy transition, further decelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the global energy crisis. However, Africa possesses a seemingly unlimited renewable energy potential which the continent can put to its advantage, delivering reliable, affordable and sustainable energy solutions for all. The side-event will bring together stakeholders from government, the private sector and civil society to discuss challenges and solutions for the acceleration of the energy transition on the African continent.
